DOB: the third month,
10th day of the Muslim year 1377

MAY 6, 2004: The embarrassing pictures of prisoner abuse is the event represented by George W. Bush's chart, his "prize of war," in the shape of a shadow projections: We all say that these events are shaped by the leadership. Bush's one-sidedness, his certainty and faith, are polarized in these events. The world recognizes that the bloody war is here to stay, and the leadership does not have the contol it needs in the Middle East. His military possesions, the prisoners, were photographed in humiliation, and their images were leaked, and publicized on the Internet. The second house of the President also refers to those on whom he confers the responsibility, the "keys to the kingdom," and reportedly, he was disappointed in Rumsfeld's handling of the scandal as it had been known since January of 2004. (No mention in the news about bin Laden.)

FEBRUARY 22, 2004: Beginning in April, as Jupiter moves into the direct motion position at 08 degrees Virgo, the White House will grace us with their good news: a capture that we won't hear of until the first week of May. A secret story will be slowly built up to some fantastic crescendo for that May period. Expect television ads promoting the president's success. Jupiter's direct motion will accompany George Bush's 10th house ruler (Mars, no less) in Virgo in his 2nd house of "possesions." Since we have Mars, we can expect him to have "received" a fantastic Military Posession. Moreover, George Bush has the progressed SUN on the degree of his Mars, so that is something of a big, powerful splash. (GW Bush July 6, 1946, 7:26am, EDT, North Haven, CT)

What could a President possibly "possess" that could be so bright as the Sun, and Jupiter-sized? The political "war chest," which has been reported in high millions and climbing?

Expect a big strategy, and a "prize of war," to be announced then.

I had acquired information from a Muslim historian, (on the Internet) who said bin Laden was born 3rd month, 10th day of the Muslim calendar year 1377. The FBI lists his DOB as March 10, 1957--the third month and tenth day of our calendar year--incorrectly transposing the Islamic days and months for ours, getting the year correctly.

The March 10 1957 date confirms that the 3rd month and 10th day are what we are looking for.

I fear that I cannot I go back to check this Muslim data (3rd month, tenth day, year 1377) and need a little help to conclude that these indications are consistent with the facts. The pages I once had access to on 9/11 are now gone. So, I go from memory on this, frustratingly! If someone has access to the Arabic notation for the bin Laden birth, and I have remembered incorrectly, let me know, please. It will, if proven incorrect, make all the following false.

Following the story after September 11 with some vehemence, I examined all the charts proposed at the Astrodatabank.com site. Proposed dates included: March 10, July 27 or 29 and Oct. 3, in 1957, among others. By spending an enormous time scanning the Internet for this data, I became satisfied that the year was undoubtedly 1957, particularly after finding it corresponds to the Muslim calendar year 1377.

The October 3rd chart stood out like a sore thumb, but I had to wait to resolve the problem between the calendars before I could comment. Micheal Rideout, among other judicious comments on the conversions of the calendars, makes a point about the possibility that the March 10 and October 3 dates may have had the month/date transposed.

The 10th month and 3rd day "switch" is a curious phenomenon: the calendar translator would verify that the Muslim date occurs on the 10th month of our calendar, and on the third day (10/03)! But, it is not a classic mix-up between date and month.

Instead, a pattern emerges which explains all the dates at once.

The Hijiri (Muslim Calendar) is based on the Crescent Moon

Everyone tried using our Western dates to describe the bin Laden date. That is foggy thinking.

Michael Rideout's (www.astrodatabank.com) article about this biography, and the confusion about Islamic calendar, would clarify the need to convert the two calendars, Gregorian and Muslim in order to justify any chart.

Rideout thus marks the first day of the Muslim year 1377, the "New Year's Eve" the new moon of July 27th (on our calendar) of 1957.

We must realize that the use of the crescent moon as a symbol for the Muslim World would be tied to the culture's calendar tradition. As Rideout suggests, in Muslim fashion, we would count the two days following the new moon to sight the first appearance of the crescent moon, and so the established counting of the first day of the year is at the first appearance of the crescent moon, occurring usually within two days, probably the 29th or 30th of July, 1957, depending on one's location. If the crescent cannot be viewed until some later hour, it may depend on sea level and horizon variances as well.

Michael Rideout says July 27 signifies the first day of the year 1377. It is the year significator, and a popular way to show discretion with private information: just give the year. I consider all the July dates (27-30) in 1957 to be "Happy New Year," and generically related to the new year holiday, not necessarily the birth data of bin Laden. After the new moon of July, using our calendar (the Muslim month of "Muharram") we may find the third month, count forward another ten days and expect to find the correction between the two calendars, ours and the one followed by the Muslim population.

The next new moon (for the 2nd month of 1377) occurs Aug. 26, month "Safar"; the third new moon occurs on Sept 23, month "Rabi-Awwal." Add ten days to the Sept 23 new moon and we find October 3 1957, "three months and ten days of 1377." October 3rd is the date which actually does appear to be in the third month (Rabi-Awwal) and tenth day--following the appearances of the New Moon's crescent after day one of year 1377, the year of bin Laden's birth. I make this conclusion perhaps too quickly, but the little bit of math just seemed to fit perfectly--this after having seen and been very impressed by the chart for October 3, 1957.

Let us research the question of the Hijiri calendar a bit further.

According to the "Rules for the Islamic Calendar in Different Countries:" The Islamic calendar is based on visibility of the crescent Moon. This is a very difficult scientific problem. We know perfectly well where the Moon and the Sun are at any given time, but how light must the Moon be and how dark must the sky be before we can see the crescent? And what if the weather is bad? In spite of these difficulties, some Muslim communities base their calendar on actual Moon sightings. This is done in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the US. In Saudi Arabia and most of the Gulf countries they have simplified the calendar. They start the lunar month if the Moon sets after the Sun on the 29th day of the previous month, as seen from Mecca. "Most people think that Saudi Arabia always adopt the actual sighting of the crescent as the basis to start Islamic months. But during the previous years (previous to 1999), it was very clear to the public as well as to astronomers that most of the Saudi months were wrong if the actual sighting is the basis for starting the Islamic month. Fortunately, JAS received a telegram from The Highest Religious Council "Majlis al-Ifta' al-A'ala" in Saudi Arabia confirming that Saudi Arabia adopts the astronomical calculations and totally ignores the actual sighting."

I had thought it particularly striking that various Muslim-associated astrologers around the world automatically give the Oct 3 date. Sometimes the comparison between one date which appears wrong when calculated by rigor and rules, and another date, a chance only an idiot would take, yields to the idiot--in this case because of the spontaneous appearance, and the error made by the FBI. It is perhaps the errors which inform me at this point.

I am not fixed on this date because of the chart--the ascendant is unknown. However, in making an astrologically-informed guess, based on what I now know about the different countries' rules for dating and the sighting of the Crescent Moon, I remain convinced that the October 3rd chart is a good beginning in the question for OBL's data.

Libra, ruled by Cruel Venus

Also, the cliche about the indecisiveness of Libra has never worked for me. I have three sisters born Libran and many more friends and their indecisiveness is not more apparent than any other sign's. From Libra we expect refinement, smoothness, indicating motive to harmonize with others. I think of Libra as the Martha Stewart of the Zodiac, tho' I have no idea what sign she is, or how Venus is placed in her chart. There are as many great generals born Libran as there are Taurus. It is not well understood by many that Venus herself is an archetype of cruelty, as well as pleasure. If you have any doubt, please read about how the MesoAmerican populations used Venus' retrogrades (which coincides with Chaldean) as a potent date for starting a war. Or , take the Venus of the Eros and Psyche myth as an image of potent desire and cruelty. Snow White's wicked mother is a Venus-ruled archetype par excellence. The rose is sacred to Venus and so is the apple. Why? Because they are divided into 5 sections. There is a deeper aspect of the number 5 and Venus that requires about a two hour production job to demonstrate, but it can be demonstrated astronomically. Just being on anyone's "most wanted" list should be an indicator that the planet of desire, Venus, is operating.

THE ASCENDANT, how a man appears to others

Because Bin Laden's face is as familiar to us "as the sun," I put the sun on the ascendant. This is also common practice to astrologers who must work without the actual time data. I drew a chart for 6:16 a.m. and then went to an earlier hour. The stellium Mars/Jupiter "sandwiched" his Sun, hypothetically in the first house between these archetypes; the representatives of The Law (Jupiter) and Force (Mars). This is a pure astrological guess, but it seemed to emphasise the story of his fame and his inclinations quite neatly.

To his adherents, he represents the Sun. To us in the western world, he may represent the alchemical world's Black Sun. The Sun on the ascendant--when I looked at this date a few weeks ago, right after the attacks--immediately struck me because of the purely Libra characteristics of his face, which correspond to his a "balanced, peaceful" appearance: high arched brow, mild, polite manner. His smiling "beatific" attitude all blessedly pacific: Libra.

With that besieged solar ascendant I found a spectacular signature which describes the high, arched (Libra) eyebrows and the medical history: he has been on kidney dialysis in the last 4 years. (Kidney is ruled by Libra). Apparently an attempt had been taken on his life (1998) and he swallowed a poison which weakened the kidney function to the point of requiring a dialysis treatment.

One of his teachers, "Brian Fyfield-Shayler, 69, gave the then 13-year-old bin Laden and 30 other privileged classmates attending al-Thagh school, an élite Western-style Saudi school in Jedda, four one-hour English lessons a week during 1968 and 1969. He described bin Laden as a 'shy, retiring and courteous' boy who was unfailingly polite. 'He was very courteous - more so than any of the others in his class. Physically, he was outstanding because he was taller, more handsome and fairer than most of the other boys. He also stood out as he was singularly gracious and polite, and had a great deal of inner confidence,' said Fyfield-Shayler." Enough Libra keywords in that paragraph--italics are mine--to proverbially choke a horse.

Jupiter rules the 6th house. Libra's ruler Venus is in her fall, in the 2nd house, in Scorpio, ruled by the warrior Mars--in a mutual reception. Venus' lack of strength in Scorpio (for health indicators) cannot help but weaken the Jupiter. But it strengthens Mars, as he is located on the ascendant. Ruler of the chart Venus is at 22 Scorpio, currently getting the square from Uranus. He is currently agitated, indeed. Probably moving around a bit and with inconveniences--interruptions. The south node is in the 8th house, squared Uranus in Leo in the 11th of this chart leading me to believe a brief sudden death will be his fate, perhaps in an aircraft, like his father before him, who died in the US in 1968 in a helicopter crash. "The genesis of Bin Laden's conversion," Salhi says, "began between 1977 and 1978, as radical Palestinian groups emulated Ayatollah Khomeini's use of cassette tapes to propagate the Islamic revolution in Iran in their operations against Israel."

A Conversion of chart rulerships, from Venus (Libra) to Mars (Scorpio) 1979

Progressing this chart to January 1978-9, the 22-year old occasioned his "conversion" to the (Mars) Afghani cause shunning his (Venus) comfortable background. The progressed ascendant moves to Zero Degrees of Scorpio. For the 17 months prior, the Progressed moon is Scorpio is passing the degrees most identified with the ascendant, thus affecting his self-image, Sun, Mercury, Neptune, the North Node. It may have all began when the MC changed signs about two years before.

"Bin Laden went to fight in Afghanistan during the 1980s. At that time, the CIA was training and funding 25,000 Islamic militants to combat the Soviet occupation. The United States would funnel $3 billion into the battle against its Cold War rival and until that time bin Laden had taken little interest in politics.

"Then in his twenties, bin Laden fought in the resistance under the nom de guerre Abu Abdullah and the battle at Jaji proved to be a pivotal point in his life. He would later say that the war in Afghanistan taught him that a lightly armed force could defeat a superpower and the experience launched his Pan-Islamic war against the West. "By a myriad of different accounts, bin Laden and a group of about 30 Arabs stood their ground against a conventional Soviet attack of about 200 Soviet troops. This siege went on for about a week or two, and bin Laden eventually retreated. "But it was significant psychologically for him, because it was seen as the first time that he and his Afghan Arabs had really stood up against the Soviet Union and held their ground against a fairly strong force," terror analyst Peter Bergen told CNN.

"He has pursued the same theme in his war against the West. Most attacks involve a small group taking on a larger power with the aim of producing a maximum amount of carnage. The 19 suicide hijackers in the September attacks, took the lives of more than 3,000 civilians and inflicted an economic hit that is expected to rise above $100 billion."

How fitting, to have the ascendant ruler exit the dominance of her pleasures (Venus which is ruled by Mars anyway) and absorb the Scorpio rulership of Mars the Warrior as a life significator. 1979 would mark the most significant change of his life, the one that still has some wagging their heads in wonder. What is it that makes someone change so radically? Bin Laden wasa successful playboy, partying a bit too much until something changed him. The progressed ascendant ingress into the next sign is one of those life-changing aspects.Consider that the Mars and Venus are mutually received in the natal chart, so the transition was unexpected, at least to some, but in either case, he has been a welcome guest among many loyal to him--the Leo archetype in groups and friendships: he might have asked favors of royalty. The warrior was there all along, just enjoying the rutting as an introduction to still greater dignity in the desert sands, to which he has had since 1996 to pad a huge lair with supplies that will last ten years. He is accompanied by 15 wives and numerous children, 1500 soldiers, technical staff and materiel in the tons. That sounds pretty cherry, just like the Venus-ruled would expect.

The Law of Mohammed, and Jupiter

To obey the Law is also the role of Jupiter, but which law shall it be? In this historic moment we are met with the genuine reason behind their hate, which is expressed in the dynamic oppositions between Saturn (The Limits) and Pluto (The Depths). These two oppose each other in signs ruled by Mercury (The Word) and Jupiter (The Law).

Because a democratic system requires the Rule of Law to be secular--separating the Word of God from the Law of the Land, we thus meet the meaning of our era in a broadly-based and intense argument about beliefs and to what lengths we must go to give affect to those beliefs, and allow it to change our behaviors and decisions.

According to the sect of Muslim thought to which OBL belongs, to dare to separate church and state, meant to Bin Laden we in the west cannot ostensibly maintain The Law of God ourselves, since we dare step on foreign land (theirs) and control their affairs (perceived). Pluto in Sagittarius makes sure we will get to the bottom of this; terrorism is a belief system too. We may hope to put the terrorism behind us as Pluto leaves Sagittarius,

In the natal chart of the Shaykh (Osama's title) Saturn is in Sagittarius. Saturn, operates as a psychological set of personal limits, boundaries and rules. To each horoscope a slightly different fashion shapes the different ways that Saturn can be either strengthened or weakened in any one chart. Saturn is one of the triplicity rulers of Fire (according to the ancients) and is very much at home with Sagittarius. In the sign ruled by Jupiter, the boundaries widen. Permissions and ethics are for the people I leave behind. I rule by my own law.

The foisting of one's beliefs into the realm of structured, societal and hierarchical "rules" changes Saturn's fear of laws into a game of daring-do. It's a measure of the skill--the sport is in the risk. We may be talking about inflation, n'est-ce pas? Jupiter's rulership over Saturn makes for wariness toward the established rule. Zeus used a knife to liberate himself from his father, Chronos.

Saturn in Sagittarius makes up his own rules, "It's about the game," he says. In the bin Laden chart, Saturn has Uranus in a trine between the 3rd (brothers) and 11th (groups) cusps, the latter cusp ruled by Leo. Bin Laden is called by his adherents, "Lion," "Prince," and "Emir." Many call him "Sheik," or "Shayk."

He may unfortunately be a figure called by the prophecies, "Anti-Christ." This archetypal story catapulted by the transit of Jupiter through the sign Cancer, which squares the Sun in the life of the son of Laden, the signal that "faith, law, justice," themes of Jupiter, has also another theme: Jupiter is just as often the marker of "the long journey."

Groups, unusual ones, combinations of groups, bunches of show-offs, those Leo types; they'd get along with the Pakistani military really well. Friends and connections in high places. But they may also be "rebellious" people. "Afghanistan's Islamic fundamentalist ruling party, the Taliban, is highly loyal to bin Laden," says the press who don't even read astrological charts! That Uranus is opposed by the Moon in Aquarius. Just as Lady Diana of Windsor was loved by her people and known as the "People's Princess," so also is bin Laden to his group probably as a "Brother's Brother." We Americans had better take him alive and while we may resent him, we should remember Venus is his ruler and she is cruel. (refer to "The New Normal".)

Timelines, horoscopes and more...

"Although he fled Saudi Arabia in April 1991, his SA citizenship was revoked on April 9, 1994," quoting my colleague, "Gimelstar," who posted to the AstroDataBank.com discussion on 12.11.01. Saudi officials seized bin Ladin's passport in a bid to prevent him from consolidating contacts with extremists whom he had befriended during the Afghan war. In 1991, he migrated from the Arabian peninsula after declaring the Saudi ruling family corrupt and "insufficiently Islamic".

Given the "acceptance process" to which bin Laden was subjected by the Taliban, a rather daredevil procedure involving the stealing of jetliners to provide wholesale importation of tons of goods--presumably weaponry--from various locations in Islam--he obviously passed muster with the Taliban in 1996.

"With the Taliban's blessing, Bin Laden effectively had hijacked Ariana, the national civilian airline of Afghanistan. For four years, according to former U.S. aides and exiled Afghan officials, Ariana's passenger and charter flights ferried Islamic militants, arms, cash and opium through the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. Members of Bin Laden's Al Qaeda terrorist network were provided false Ariana identification that gave them free run of airports in the Middle East."

A mutual reception "you scratch my back, and I'll return the favor," is clearly the arrangement between the Taliban and bin Laden.

"Posted: 4:49 p.m. EST (2149 GMT) (CNN) -- The movement of U.S. Marines into the mountains of eastern Afghanistan to search for Osama bin Laden is "imminent," U.S. military officials said Monday. The officials said bombing in the Tora Bora region had tapered off for this reason. U.S. Special Forces who are familiar with the area will accompany the Marines. U.S. officials concede they don't know where bin Laden is or whether he is even alive, but recent speculation on his whereabouts centered on a network of caves and tunnels in the mountains around Tora Bora."

Data for the Solar Return: Oct 2, 2001, 10:40 pm, Kandahar 31N32, 065E30.

The Solar Return is derived from the 10/03/57 date and re-located to Kandahar, Afghanistan. On that date (or within 24 hours of it) the tragic mis-hap of an airliner shot down over the Black Sea—mistakenly--by Russian military—which gives us an idea of the potency for such a number of configurations as appears there.

It appears a fitting image for the “Most Wanted” man, virtually in the world—and not for the Venusian (Most Sexy) reasons People Magazine would have for the same title, but Martian reasons. Zeus, ruler of the Sky, threw his thunderbolts from the Heavens, changed or “shifted” shapes, and was married to a Harpie who saw fit to turn to violence if needed, to protect her marital bond. His rulership over Chiron (who visits in Sagittarius lately), the one with the Wound, may give an interesting sidelight to what we must imagine is happening (or has happened) to the man “Most Wanted,” by the FBI.

Jupiter rises in this chart, and has the square from the Moon in Aries in the 10th. We cannot overlook that the Moon is in the sign of Jupiter’s triplicity, thus receiving him, and that Jupiter is in the Moon's domicile, which allows a mutual reception between them. In the chart which I hypothesize belongs to the bin Laden(using the old technique of putting the rising sun on the chart with an unknown birth time), I also find Jupiter rising, and conjoined the Sun and Mars.

Jupiter is at 11 Libra in the proposed bin Laden birth chart, and the recent retrograde of Jupiter at 14 Cancer will make the square several times before the issue is over.

Jupiter will square the Mars of the bin Laden (I believe) on March 1, when Jupiter turns stationary direct at 5 Cancer. In this chart, the Mars rules both the 2nd and the 7th of the chart, pointing to yet another military “blow” perhaps affected by the open enemies of the 7th, but also with a confederate, ruled by the 2nd.

The story of the Mars in this chart is equally impressive. He is in his exaltation on the 7th cusp, the sign of the Might of the Right, and so on. I find in the natal chart that this Mars can confer long life, if given proper house rulership--again conferred to both the open enemy AND to the confederates. Venus rules the 8th of the bin Laden chart, and her natal position in her detriment, Scorpio, still gives the sway to the “taker” of life, Mars.

Interestingly, Mars is also in his detriment, in Libra. Do two detriments make enough of a mutual reception to neutralize the detriments and “give life?” Not so in the Solar Return, the Mars on the 7th may represent the unrelenting enemy; he opposes the Jupiter in Cancer on the ascendant.

The Man of the metaphoric Hotel Pierre armed with fractious religion, Jihad-on-the-brain, receives the Moon: the Moon is the “owner” of the entire top of the chart, her brilliance in a full-opposition to the Sun in the 4th is ruled by the Mars as she is in Aries. The lunar “fortune” passes to which of the pair? The two exaltations (Mars and Jupiter, which represents the conflict being fought on the ground) squared by the full moon (with the dubious Hero—the sun is in his detriment, in setting sun (dying sun) Libra—down in the underground terrain of history and caves and the like) … A more dramatic Solar Return would be hard to find. Jupiter, ruler of the long journey over to the Other Side, and (renowned shapeshifter) presently square the Sun of the bin Laden, Giver of Life: aided by a plastic surgeon? (But how to disguise his use of a cane and his height? Or, is that just another stupidity?)

Does he, like the wife of the rich man seek (an new lease on life) new life from the hospital which once harbored him… The tenth cusp of the proposed ascendant is on the Solar Return’s ascendant: 11 Cancer. The Moon (as the world eye) in the 10th watches the drama, awaiting the rolling away of the stone.

The bin Laden Solar Return... I took the rules and wrote a short set of imageries which arose as I examined the Solar Return. The chart is a text-book example of how to stage a western-style shoot out.

Jupiter rises in Cancer, 14 degrees...Squared the Moon in the 10th, Aries 11 degrees: she receives him in the sign of his triplicity rulership; trade dignities.

During the creation of this letter, I got to writing free verse which I shared on Tuesday (before Christmas, writing from Los Angeles, December 2001) with two members of the All_ancient discussion group, and the links here provide the date on which these impressions first appeared. (12/22/2001)

The eclipse of December 14 2001
With the Sun near the Chiron (the healer with the wounded thigh) in Sagittarius, we get two themes of that pain-in-the ass that won’t heal. Or, will it? Sagittarius, ruled by Long Journey Jupiter, has much to say in the drama of the son of bin Laden.

Jupiter visits the sign of his exaltation, Cancer. The exaltation, according to Rob Hand, can be described as less strong than rulership—or, to use his metaphor, “ownership” of the sign--but has many of the privileges of ownership. Like staying at the Hotel Pierre, but not having room service at 3:00 am.

So, with the Eclipse on the Chiron in Sagittarius, and Jupiter in his strong “suite” (in this case, the pun works…at least for me!) the Jupiterian rulership of the sky with his bolts from the blue, perhaps emphasise the excising of a wound, by the use of a few F-15s, Daisy Cutters and all the of war. Another indication from Jupiter is the oft-noticed presence of the Jupiter by transit at the time of a death.

I boldly made this free-verse (badly, I admit) prediction of his live “delivery” to the Americans, and while it still might be a possibility, it is best to be patient. So much can be an attitude on the part of this writer, and not astrology.
